Out of the top eleven features, energy efficiency is the main focus appearing on the list three times: Energy Star Windows, Energy Star Whole Home, Energy Star Appliance.  Staying comfortable in the hottest and coldest temps affordably is a priority for home buyers.

Interestingly enough, buyers aren’t willing to pay more for those energy-saving features, but forty-six percent of respondents said they’d pay an average of $1,000 to $9,999 more for a home to save $1,000 per year on their utility bills; 37 percent would pay $10,000 or more.

Tall ceilings, two or more bathrooms, and an open layout are still highly touted while elevators and laminate countertops come up way short on the desirability index.
